Carol Dyck – London North Centre

Carol Dyck is a dedicated community leader, who is actively involved with several local non-profit organizations and committees. She believes that the Green Party of Ontario’s progressive platform offers the best opportunity for Ontario to bolster its economy while simultaneously cutting our greenhouse gas emissions and safeguarding the province’s natural heritage.
 
A strong believer in giving back to the community, Carol Dyck regularly engages in volunteer work. She served on the Board of Directors of the London Environmental Network (2017-2020; 2021-2024) and the Thames Talbot Land Trust (2017-2020). She also served on the Board of Directors of the Magisterra Soloists (2021-2023), including as Chair. She was a Member-at-Large on the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee to the City of London (2015-2020), and formerly sat on the Trees and Forests Advisory Committee. Not afraid to get her hands dirty, Carol has also volunteered for ReForest London planting trees to expand the Forest City’s canopy, doing river clean-ups for Antler River Rally, and Butt Blitzes for A Greener Future.
 
Carol is currently completing a PhD at Western University’s Faculty of Law specializing in international environmental law, with a focus on marine areas.
 
Previously she has earned a BA in International Relations at the University of British Columbia; a Masters of Arts in International Environmental Policy at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies; a Masters of Law in Environmental Law from the University of Kent and a MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from Oxford

Wil Osbourne-Sorrell – London Fanshawe

Wil Osbourne-Sorrell is deeply committed to ensuring the people of London-Fanshawe have a healthy, prosperous and affordable future. He sees this election as an opportunity for our riding to be heard and start the work needed to combat the climate crisis and build a more caring economy. 

His first run in 2014 demonstrated to him the passion that Londoners have for a careful approach at Queen’s Park – balancing our everyday needs with important environmental, economic and social needs that deserve provincial attention. Wil isn’t afraid to speak out when it comes to true action on our environment, timely access to medical and mental health supports and the human rights of all Ontarians. 

Wil Osbourne-Sorrell is ready to be an advocate for London-Fanshawe. Each day in his position as an equity and inclusion advisor at Fanshawe College’s Centre for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, he advocates for improved conditions at the College. Wil also currently acts as the Equity Steward for his union OPSEU Local 109 and worked in various roles at Fanshawe for over 15 years.  

Wil knows the importance of giving back to our community. He is a long-time active volunteer with the United Way of Elgin Middlesex – most recently as the chair of their Agencies, Partnerships and Investments committee. He has also worked with the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection, the Boys and Girls Club of London, Expanding Plasma Local Area Group and LEAP.

After working in the IT field and graduating from Fanshawe College with a Diploma in Internet Technology, he is currently enrolled at Laurentian University to complete his degree online and part-time in Equity, Diversity, and Human rights with a minor in Criminology.

In his spare time, Wil and his husband Collyn enjoy reading,  walking, and exploring all the things that our Forest City offers.

Amanda Stark – Elgin-Middlesex-London

Amanda Stark is a life-long advocate for all that is encompassed by the values of the Green Party of Ontario – A Caring Society, Connected Communities, and a New Climate Economy. Her personal approach and enthusiasm create a uniquely effective strategy as she comes alongside community members to build a sense of camaraderie and shared sense of purpose. Amanda sits on St. Thomas’ Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee, she is an active member of Elgin’s small business community, she is a well-known advocate and ally for local Indigenous issues, and she is committed to her life-long connections in Thames Centre where her parents still reside.

Amanda credits her small-town upbringing and discerning parentage with her tendency toward transparency, integrity, and genuine connection in all contexts. She believes these are essential qualities as we work toward enacting real solutions for the decades-long problems our province faces due to underfunding, mismanaged resources, and misguided priorities.
